The sun is shining and the skies are most definitely blue, so if you want to get out with the family today or tomorrow, why not head to the annual Garlic Festival.
The festival takes over two huge fields at Fighting Cocks Crossroads (near Newchurch) providing two days of food from around the World, entertainment, live music and the chance to bump into that old friend you haven’t seen since … well, last year’s Garlic Festival.
All sorts of displays take place in the main arena, from falconry to dog displays, watch the escapologist do his stuff, and wonder at the Ryde Extreme Performers.
As well as all the fantastic food on offer, there are beer and cider tents. Plenty of opportunities to buy products to take home and even a fun fair for the thrill-seekers.
This year the festival has the bonus of free WiFi across the site, meaning you can update your Facebook status with photos from the day.
