Originally a cricket pavillion, the Pavillion Cottage at Osborne House been converted by English Heritage to rentable holiday accommodation, becoming the most popular cottage in the English Heritage portfolio. So popular, The Times reports, that it’s booked up for the next two years.
It looks like the major advantage of renting it is that, once Osborne House is closed to the public for the evening, the renters have the whole of the grounds as their own – sweet.
It’s not so cheap skates, prices start from £395 for three nights and £760 for a week, but you get a generous welcome hamper on arrival
Here’s the video The Times has on it ..
As a side issue, we were shocked at the low quality of the production on the video guide — it’s supposed to be The Times, don’t you know — buy the man a tripod and a mic cover!
