Transitions CD Volume 2 Launch: Disc Update & Gig Details

Mouly - UK Skating HeroWith only a few days to go until the next Wight Trash Transitions CD Launch, news reaches us that Santa Cruz Skateboards Pro, Alex Moul aka Mouly has donated a drum’n’bass track to the triple CD in aid of the Ventnor Skate Park.

The mastering of the CDs takes place today at Jackson Analogue’s ‘Studio Luka’ – which we hear will be open for business soon if you fancy hiring out some studio space – with the handiwork being taken care of by Jim and Rob from JA and Mouly’s track, Brooklyn Rain, joins the incredible 50+ strong track listing.

As we mentioned before, Transitions Volume 2 was originally going to be a double CD, but has grown to a triple now (still all for a tenner) and sports tracks by amongst others (this list is not everyone so sorry for those left off), Jungle Jazz Funk, Santa Spirta, The Operators, Ambush Tactics, Poison Dwarf, Arcane Eden, Thee Waxworks, Electro Magnetic Workshop, Cooly Haste, Ergo Phiz, Finger Monster, Gareth Icke, Jackson Analogue, George Cross, I <3 Audrey, Kaftan, The Shutes, Wight Light Orchestra, Paul Armfield (who has written a track especially about skating in Ventnor, Shanklin Freak Show, The Chancers, Lady Killers, The Scores, The Wild Oats, Wozworld, Zinc Stoat, Tydus Falls and Lucky Elephant (who now have a band member living in Ventnor).

Phew that’s some playlist!

The Shutes by Kendal NoctorWe’ve been listening to the tracks on loop (there’s definitely enough there to not get bored by it) and hope that as many of you will come and support the Transitions CD Launch on Saturday night at the Ventnor Winter Gardens as possible to help make it as successful as it can be.

VB favourites Thee Waxworks, The Shutes and Electro-Magnetic Workshopwill be performing on stage, along with DJs Lektroluxe, Kaf Tan and George Cross.

Entry is just £2.50 and make sure you bring your tenner for the triple CD, over 50 tracks for £10. What a bargain and all proceeds go to the work at the Ventnor Skate Park.
