Remember there was a music Festival on the Isle of Wight over the weekend?
Looks like the people who took the Red Jet home – and the people who live in Cowes – had a chance to live the experience a little bit longer than those who stayed on the Island.
Christian Beasley was out with his video camera and captured the queue emerging from Fountain Quay in Cowes way and snaking its way down the High Street toward the north – nearly as far as The Waterside bar.
Looks like people were having to wait for around two hours, but as Christian says, “less than the estimated 3 hours for the Red Funnel ferry from East Cowes!”
Good to see local commerce making the most of the opportunity, as The Plaza were making the most of it with their ‘Ice Cream on a bicycle’ was out selling up and down the queue.
