v, the National Young Volunteers Service has launched a free iPhone app that has brought thousands of volunteering opportunities (and not to mention 550 voluntary organisations) onto an online platform, making it even easier for young people to connect with the voluntary opportunities in their local area.
Volunteers can now search and apply for opportunities, log hours and upload photographs onto their vinspired profiles whilst out on the move.
The cool app also delivers a range of micro-volunteering opportunities so volunteers can ‘click to make a difference’ or ‘tweet for a cause’ whilst waiting for the bus or standing in a queue for a gig.
What’s on offer?
There are over 6,000 volunteering opportunities available on vinspired.com- all of which will appear on the app.
Perfect timing to volunteer during the season of goodwill! Why not take up a role as a cyber mentor? Or perhaps join a group of carol singers? Doing good really can be a case of click, click, click.
The vinspired app can be downloaded from the iTunes store and will work on iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch (running iOS version 3.1 or higher).
It is free to download and if your mobile contract offers free internet access, it’s free to use too!
