This coming (8th-9th October), vintage buses will once again be operating in East Wight, courtesy of the Isle of Wight Bus and Coach Museum.
The event is Wightrider, a new look for the traditional autumn running weekend. It will feature vehicles from the Isle of Wight Bus and Coach Museum collection, as well as some visiting from the mainland.
Free bus rides
The free buses will link various attractions, not only in Ryde, but further afield. This includes the IW Steam Railway at Wootton station.
In addition, park and ride facilities will be available at the IW Donkey Sanctuary in Wroxall.
Where and when
The Wightrider network is based around the museum in Park Road, Ryde, which features a gift shop and tea bar.
Services will operate from approximately 10am to 5pm each day.
Find out more by visiting the dedicated Wightrider Website.
