If you haven’t already, don’t forget to vote for your favourite Bohemian Beard in the current competition being run by Dimbola Museum and Galleries.
During April, eight of the shortlisted nominees had their portrait made with Julia Margaret Cameron’s technique of Wet Plate Collodion by Karen Grainger, the Trust’s Resident Historic Processes Photographer and Curator of the Permanent Collection.
This is a hand-made process using a liquid negative formula poured onto a glass plate for each exposure.
