Thanks to VB reader Jaymie Rigby for getting in touch with a warning about an email scam doing the rounds.
He received an email that looked as though it was from Royal Mail. It claimed that a package of his had been returned to the Royal Mail office.
He was asked to click on a link to find out more, but web-savvy Jaymie didn’t fall for that old trick. He called Royal Mail and they confirmed they don’t send out emails.
Here’s what Jaymie received ….
Dear customer.
Your package has been returned to the Royal Mail office.
… Reason: The delivery address is wrong
Please find the attached document containing detailed information about delivery failure.
Read all information carefully and come to the “Royal Mail” office to receive your package.Thank you.
Royal Mail Service.
So, if you get something like this, bin it and certainly don’t click for more info.
