Your views sought on the future needs of early years childcare on the Isle of Wight

Isle of Wight council has launched a new survey to support its future decision-making in relation to the provision of early years childcare.

To help understand current and future childcare services on the Island, the council would like to hear the views and experiences of parents and carers.

Meeting childcare needs
With parental choice one of the most influencing factors that affects the childcare market’s demand and supply, the results of the survey will help the council produce a statutory report known as the Childcare Sufficiency Assessment, which will outline how it intends to meet childcare needs on the Isle of Wight.

Have your say
The Council is looking for views from all parents and carers of primary aged children about how they use childcare, how this has changed over the course of the Covid-19 pandemic, and how this may continue to change in the future.

The childcare options covered by the survey include pre-schools, nurseries, childminders, before and after school clubs and holiday clubs.
