A project aimed at encouraging residents to find out more about the arts and culture on the Isle of Wight announces their public artist commission for Newport, East Cowes and Totland.
Cllr Love slams Red Funnel, saying the town is being used as the ferry company's car park and that East Cowes has been left with an "unkempt yard is full of weeds and rubbish". Red Funnel respond
The Planning Committee voted to reject part of the officer recommendation. Red Funnel say 'they will not give up' and continue discussions with officers over the expansion of their East Cowes terminal.
To apply, organisations must be a registered charity, have been in operation on the Isle of Wight for at least 12 months and support the local Island community – helping to improve quality of life of create opportunities for residents
The refurbishment plans will see a significant increase in the number of internal seats for customers and involves a complete refit of B Deck, including a state-of-the-art galley and new toilets.
