Brian May Book Signing This Afternoon

Dimbola Museum and Galleries is usually closed on a Monday, but it’s all change later today, as Brian May, who has an exhibition at the venue, pops over to the Isle of Wight.

If you’ve been along to the galleries recently, you’ll have seen the 3D exhibition based around Brian May & Elena Vidal’s book, A Village Lost and Found.

Brian will be at Dimbola this afternoon between 4-5pm available to sign copies of the book.

A passion for stereoscopic photography
Brian May, renowned guitarist/song-writer of the legendary band Queen, is less well-known for his lifelong passion for stereoscopic, or 3D, photography. A product of over 30 years exhaustive research, A Village Lost and Found presents an exquisite set of stereo photographs showing the life of an Oxfordshire village 150 years ago.

These beautifully reproduced photographs by pioneering stereographer T.R. Williams reveal a rural idyll that was fast disappearing.

The exhibition runs until 25th September.
