British Consul in Russia Holds Garden Party for Island Fundraisers

Ride for Russia BikersGareth Ward, HM Consul General, will host a Garden Party in St Petersburg, Russia, on Thursday 9th June in recognition of a group of thirteen British motorcyclists and support team on the Ride for Russia, to acknowledge their commitment to raising more than £2,000 per rider for orphaned and needy young people leaving orphanages and from disadvantaged families in Russia.

All funds raised will go to support the Genesis Program of the British charity Love Russia, based on the Isle of Wight.

The group will visit four orphanages supported by Love Russia in Russia and Estonia.

The riders will have covered more than 4,000 miles in 16 days by the time they return to the UK on Thursday 16th June.
