If you’d like to do your bit to help monitor the Island’s environment, a position with the CPRE-IW has arisen that might interest you.

CPRE-IW is a Registered Charity No 215033, our President is former High Sheriff Mrs Gay Edwards, and Chairman is John Langley. We have some 175 contributing members on the Island.

Monitoring and awards
As well as monitoring planning and licensing applications, we have our own awards schemes for Best Kept Village, Litter Reduction, and Good Lighting, mainly funded by income from a legacy.

We have no paid employees.

Job description
Voluntary trustee and branch officer. Attend committee meetings every two months (usually on a Wednesday afternoon) and one Annual General Meeting a year.

Take notes at meetings and, together with reports received by email or in hard copy, coordinate these into Minutes, to be circulated bi-monthly by email in advance of the next meeting. Some expenses are available.

Get in touch
Anyone who would like to do their bit to help monitor the Island’s environment and who would consider stepping into the Honorary Secretary’s shoes, please contact Chairman John Langley at [email protected].
