Disabled Transport Issues On The Island Conference

On 25th July at The Newport Methodist Church Hall, Quay Street, Newport there will be a conference to discuss Public transport for disabled residents.

Disabled Transport Issues On The Island ConferenceThe conference is being organized by the South East Region Trades Union Councils (SERTUC) Disability Network.

There will be a presentation of universal transport problems faced by disabled workers.

Transport issues on the Island – presentations by various transport Unions UNITE, RMT, ASLEF, TSSA and Unison.

The event’s organisers hope that those affect by these issues will attend and pass on the benefit of their particular expertise.

Likewise, if you are aware of any person that would be able to add their experience on Public Transport and its problems the organisers are asking you to also invite them along as well.

Times
The conference will open at 10.30 hrs with signing in and tea or coffee.

It will officially start at 11.00 and continue until around 12.30, when a sandwich lunch will be served.

The conference will then reconvene at 13.15 and end at 14.30.
