Don’t forget that this Sunday sees the Music for Ukraine event take place at Quay Arts.
It’s your chance to help raise funds for Island-based charity MAD-Aid, who are co-ordinating the collection of donated items and transport to hospitals in Ukraine and neighbouring Moldova, where many Ukrainians refugees have sought sanctuary.
Musicians doing it for free
All the musicians taking part are giving up their time and performing free of charge at this event, the brainchild of local musician Jim Thorn, who you might know as the organiser of the Isle of Wight Jazz Weekend.
Confirmed line-up
From midday on Sunday, running into the evening, there’ll be live music in the Cafe and the Theatre – the bar will be open all day for teas, coffees, soft drinks, as well as beers, lagers, wines and spirits.
The line-up includes Isle of Wight favourites such as brother and sister act JC and Angelina, Brian Sharpe, Damien Paul, The Sharptones, Paul Armfield and Giulio Cantore, and more. See the lineup below.
Entry is free, but please be generous with your donations if you can.
If you can’t make it this week, there’s another event on Sunday 3rd April.
