Helping the Isle of Wight Homeless

Facebook page aims to help the Isle of Wight homeless

A Facebook page aimed at helping the homeless has been gathering support and interest from across the Island.

‘Helping the Isle of Wight Homeless’ has become a great place for those involved with providing support and care for the Island’s homeless to share information and post appeals.

The Salvation Army – who are for the fourth year providing free Christmas dinner for the homeless – have posted a call for donations of food and drinks.

The Newport homeless shelter has also been able to call for support from volunteers, as well as donations of toiletries, blankets etc from residents.

The Page has now gathered over 1,100 likes and continues to spread awareness of the plight of those less fortunate.

Find out more by visiting the Facebook Page.

Well done to all those involved.
