Find out who’s playing Kashmir Café at the Isle of Wight Festival

Quay Arts is delighted to announce its line-up for Kashmir Café at the Isle of Wight Festival 2013!

Quay Arts works with local musicians throughout the year and relishes this opportunity to showcase their talent on a professionally run stage at such a major festival.

Kashmir Cafe presents a distinctive offer of excellent local music and Isle of Wight brewed real ale housed in a beautiful, traditional marquee.

Rachel Day, Quay Arts’ Project Manager for Live Events, says,

“We really celebrate the best of the Isle of Wight. The vast majority of Kashmir performers have worked with us throughout the year as part of Quay Arts’ regular showcase nights, Acoustic Originals, many of whom attend Platform One Music College. We also bring more established acts from further afield and I think because of Kashmir’s great atmosphere performers have such a good time they nearly always want to come back! We’re supported by so many competent and professional local organisations and individuals whose involvement really makes Kashmir the amazing, energetic environment it has become. If you’re at the festival in June, come and find us and see for yourselves – you won’t be disappointed!”

Kashmir creates opportunities and is an important source of private sector funding which Quay Arts maximises to benefit the creative community of the Isle of Wight throughout the year.

Nathan Thomas, a member of Quay Arts’ board of trustees, says,

“Kashmir Café provides Quay Arts the perfect opportunity to showcase what it does best whilst simultaneously raising funds to keep its activity going throughout the year. Presenting Kashmir Café over the last few years has really informed the way we work, focusing energy on nurturing the considerable talent that exists locally.”

The Isle of Wight Festival is at Seaclose Park on the 13th to 16th June 2013 and Kashmir Café can be found in the arboretum between the Main Arena and the Big Top.
