Freshwater man sustains leg injuries after hit and run

Police are appealing for a motorist to contact them following a road traffic collision in Freshwater on Sunday, September 29.

The incident occurred after midnight, at about 12.30am in the vicinity of Gate Lane in Freshwater Bay. The victim, a 43-year-old man, was walking in the middle of the road when he was in collision with a car.

The driver of the car did not stop at the scene.

The man was later found to have sustained a broken right leg and a crushed heel bone on his left leg.
