Future Works: The new networking hub for young creatives on the Isle of Wight

Want to start a band but don’t know a drummer? Want to write a play but don’t know any actors? Maybe you want to film a showreel but don’t know a filmmaker? Future Works is a new regular event for 16-30 year olds to meet new people, make connections, and start collaborating.

We’re always asked by young creatives how to get your foot in the door, get feedback on a piece of work, or just where to go to meet some new people on the Island.

Future Works
So Brave Island, Platform One and IW Creative Network have come together to create Future Works, an exciting new free event for young aspiring creatives.

At each event we’ll be joined by exciting guests from all areas of the creative industries, to discuss different topics around starting your creative career. But don’t worry if you’re not sure what you want to do in the future, this is all about meeting new people; the bar will be open with a DJ to soundtrack the event, so come down and enjoy a different way to spend your evening!

Where and when
The next event takes place on Thursday 4th April at Strings Bar and Venue, 9 Bowling Green Lane, Newport.

We’ll hear from Jewellery Designer and Maker Adrienne Wroath, Designer and Art Director Sean Turner and General Manager of CutLaserCut and KReative Studios Kim Purton.

Book your free ticket for the event.
