Restaurants on the Island get a glowing write up today in the online version of The Telegraph’s travel section.
The article, which is led with a picture looking out from the dining room at The Hambrough, features some of the best places to eat on the Island.
We’re not sure whether the writer himself (Nick Dalton) has actually visited the Island, as he places St Helens near Bonchurch(!), but he’s certainly picked some great places to temp visitors out to.
Obviously it mentions Ventnor’s very own only Michelin starred restaurant, The Hambrough, but also chooses some less obvious places such as The Vine Leaf Cafe at the Rosemary Vineyard.
The regulars, such as The Taverners, The George, The Pond Cafe etc are all in there, and rightly so. They all provide fantastic fresh, and often local, menus to stimulate the taste buds.
Lots of producers get a mention too such as Farmer Jacks, The Garlic Farm, Ventnor Fishery and Isle of Wight Cheese.
