Some clever stick came up with the rather smart idea of installing a miniature broadband cabinet in Godshill famous model village to mark a close-to 16,000 homes on the Island with 'fibre' broadband.
Concerned for the safety of school children and pedestrians during the period of extra heavy traffic due to the Arreton road works, this Godshill resident is asking for help from the council or Island Roads to improve the situation.
25 post office branches across the country, including one on the Isle of Wight, were today announced as winners of the Community Enterprise Fund competition for their outstanding proposals to support local people and businesses, and to tackle isolation amongst the elderly.
