Isle of Wight Distillery had a little boost on national TV last night, when their miniature gin and vodka bottles made an appearance in the Great British Sewing Bee.
The celebrity version of the popular TV programme featured none other than part-time Isle of Wight darling, Anneka Rice.
Half-way through the hour-long programme the contestants were challenged to make an outfit from ‘Christmas Past’.
It was no surprise that Anneka opted to make a jumpsuit (known from her days in the 1980’s TV show Treasure Hunt).
Anneka’s sparkly red, zip-up jumpsuit was accessorised with a super utility belt, which was packed with miniature bottles of Mermaid Gin, Mermaid Pink Gin and Mermaid Salt Vodka.
Sadly Anneka’s Christmas Past jumpsuit didn’t win the challenge, but it received a lot of praise from the judges, Esme Young and Patrick Grant.
