Isle of Wight food hygiene ratings revealed: Which hotels, restaurants and shops came out on top? (updated)

Hotels, restaurants and shops on the Isle of Wight have all been inspected for food hygiene ratings in recent months.

They are judged by environmental health officers from the Isle of Wight council and rated on a scale between zero to five, where is five is the best.

Based on Food Standards Agency guidance, inspectors check how clean an establishment is, what conditions are like, how hygienic the food handling is and what food safety management procedures are in place.
