We have a treat for you, dear and wondrous OnTheWight readers.
Earlier this month we were delighted to be contacted by Mrs Retired Hack telling us that she’d penned an Isle of Wight Christmas Panto. We resisted shouting back, “Oh no you haven’t!” and said “Can’t wait to see it”, instead.
She’d modestly said that if we didn’t like it, she’d understand.
Laugh out loud
When it arrived we started reading it, and minute by minute our smiles grew. We loved it. Burst-out-laughing-type enjoyed it.
It’s based on the classic Cinderella Panto theme, and it’s called ‘Turnerella’.
Meet the characters
Other character names for you to mull on are (in order of appearance) Baron Wells-up; Sir Buttons; Seelia; Pughtridde; Dennettini; Cook Lumley; Blowinga Blizzard; Ed and Georgie, the boy band; and Deputy Stubby.
First episode will be arriving tomorrow (Christmas Day).
