We’d heard that there were rumours circulating in the music world that John Giddings has landed himself and his company Solo a very big fish indeed.
The whispers are that the man that currently runs the IW Festival has been discussing with Bernie Ecclestone – King of F1 – the possibilities of putting Music and F1 together in a big way.
We had a little dig around and found that this is indeed true – an amazing coup for Mr Giddings, with what we’d imagine comes with a considerable pay off. Any gig close to F1 is highly likely to include handsome returns.
The first fruits of this music meets F1 idea – officially named F1 Rocks – looks to be in Singapore this September. Ten other events are planned for 2010.
Given the F1 season is spread over not only over a considerable calendar, but around the world, it’s unclear if there will be any impact on the involvement of Mr Giddings on the IW Festival.
