Katie Price As Hampshire Crime Commissioner? Shurely Shome Mistake

Katie Price by Phil GuestEarly next year, a national roadshow is planning to raise awareness for a scheme, in which elected individuals will replace the Association of Police Authorities.

The article explains that the government hopes to introduce the elected police and crime commissioners to head 41 police forces in England and Wales by the end of next year.

The Guardian had reported that amongst a number of TV presenters who are putting themselves forward as candidates to become ‘crime commissioners’, is Katie Price (aka the model, Jordan).

They said she had expressed an interest in becoming a Crime Commissioner in Hampshire.

Yesterday, bafflement was been replaced with a huge sigh of relief as the following amendment was made to the Guardian article.

This article was amended on 13 December 2011 to remove references to Katie Price, the former glamour model Jordan. She states that she has not and will not be applying to be police crime commissioner.
