Letter: Remember how Bob Seely voted over social care plans

I hope it will be remembered come the next election that the MP for the Island, Conservative Bob Seely, voted FOR the social care plans on Monday night.

The social care “plans” that only cover how it will be paid for, with no revelation of HOW the care will be delivered.

Punish the less prosperous
Plans that punish the less prosperous people needing care. And are a complete betrayal not only of the manifesto, but also what was being promised only weeks ago.

Some Tory MPs voted against, and it was likely that once the Whips knew they had a majority, MPs with more elderly constituents and some chance of losing their seat were allowed the token gesture of voting against.

Seely voted with the Government
Mr Seely did not even take that option.

His desire to please this failing government must exceed his desire to support his own constituents.

You know what to do.
