Limited spaces available: Book now for free Easter activities and food programme

Children and young people will once again be able to enjoy a varied programme of free activities during the upcoming Easter holidays.

Organisations across the Island are coming together to offer activities for five to 16-year-olds as part of the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, which also guarantees a nutritious meal.

Who is eligible?
Free places are available for children and young people who receive benefits-related free school meals and on a paid-for basis as well.

Places are also available for children and young people on Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP), those open to social care, or with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

But with limited spaces for many of the activities, families should book soon to avoid disappointment.

Andre: We know it is a welcome support for many families
Cllr Debbie Andre, Cabinet member for children’s services, said,

“We want to enable children and young people to try new things and make new friends and we know it is a welcome support for many families during the school holidays.

“We know that families are facing — and will continue to face — increasing pressure and the dedication of organisations to supporting families in this way means such a lot to so many.”

A fantastic range of activities on offer
The Easter programme has a fantastic range of activities on offer, including horse riding, tennis and football coaching, multi-sport games, drama and arts and crafts.

Details of all the activities available and further information on how to book can be found on the Website.

The Easter (HAF) scheme is funded by the Department for Education and forms part of the council’s connect4communities programme details of which can be found on the Website.
