Minghella Film Festival: International Short Film Awards

Following our podcast with Bruce Webb which we published yesterday, we’ve more detail about the International Short Film Competition taking place this weekend as part of the Minghella Film Festival.

Around 200 International films
Around 200 film were submitted from many corners of the globe, with each of them having been watched independently by Karena Barton and Bruce Webb.

They’ve made the selection with a view to what Anthony Minghella’s films stood for, which was – strong narrative, beautifully shot and about the human heart.

The gamut of films are included – comedies, documentaries, romantic comedies, animations, spoofs – all sorts and all of the films have been made in the year before the competition.

It being International means there’s a huge variety of short films that you’re going to be able to see.

The shortlisted films will be watched by a panel of judges (including some of the luminaries of cinema) and prizes awarded for a number of categories.
