New Security at The Winter Gardens On The Cards

New Security at The Winter GardensOne item that come out of the Winter Gardens Management Committee meeting last night was news that the Winter Gardens may soon have the benefit of free security at forthcoming gigs.

What usually happens when large events that require security take place, is that the services are brought in from elsewhere at quite a hefty cost.

Skinny and Darren from the Ventnor Boxing Club have put forward a suggestion to the Committee that if the Committee were able to fund special security training for them both, that they would offer their services, free of charge, to the Winter Gardens when required.

They also said that the fruits of any paid work they get elsewhere as security workers would go back to the Ventnor Boxing Club.

The Committee were very supportive of this proposal and we think it is a brilliant idea.

The training is likely to cost in the region of £400, but will save the Winter Gardens a great deal of cash in the future.

Well done to Skinny and Darren for this very noble act.
