Police band help with fund-raising event for Scouts

The Scouts endured a weekend of challenges outdoors in Hampshire where they were independently assessed. Nine scouts have been selected along with four in reserve. The trip is expensive at over £3,000 each however some of the money paid in will support scouts from poorer countries. The scouts have to plan how they will raise the funding themselves.

Concert at Medina Theatre
Paul is also Assistant County Commissioner for Scouting and has organised a concert at the Medina Theatre where the Band of the Hampshire Constabulary will perform a programme of music to suit all ages.

The concert starts at 2pm on Sunday 27th October.

Proceeds from the concert will be shared between the Jamboree unit and an ongoing project at Corf Scout Camp to replace accommodation and kitchen buildings. The first stage included a new training centre opened in August by the Princess Royal.
