Ryde Academy to reveal plans for new school buildings

Ryde Academy are giving you the opportunity to take a look at their proposals to redevelop the existing school buildings.

The school is just one of several receiving money under the Government’s Priority Schools Building Programme.

Sir Robert McAlpine has been appointed as the main building contractor for the project and the new buildings will replace the existing ones.

The proposals include a new two and three storey school building, with a flexible school layout for the consolidated 1,500 place 11-16 year old secondary school.

There’ll be new sports facilities, including ball courts, external playing fields, a multi-use sports hall and changing facilities. The existing all weather pitch will remain.

Where and when
You can view the plans and speak to the project team on Tuesday 26th January between 4pm and 8pm at Ryde Academy, Pell Lane, Ryde.

If you can’t make it along then, presentation material can be viewed in the school reception area between 27th January and 2nd February between 9.30am and 2.30pm (mon-Fri).
