Seven Ryde residents to be presented with Freedom of Ryde: Get nominating

As part of Ryde’s celebrations to commemorate the Queen’s Jubilee, Ryde Mayor Michael Lilley would like to invite the town’s residents to nominate a Ryde Resident who you think is deserving of the honorary title ‘Freedom of Ryde’.

Seven magnificent Ryde residents, one for every decade of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign, will be selected and presented with the title at a dedicated awards ceremony on the weekend of the Jubilee festivities.

Lilley: They really are the magnificent seven!
Mayor Michael Lilley says,

“This a fantastic way to honour the incredible work that people of Ryde have done for their community over the last 70 years.

“We can’t think of any better way to celebrate the Jubilee than by awarding this highest of honours to seven Ryde heroes.

“They really are the magnificent seven!”
