Shhh returns to Quay Arts with a fantastic lineup

Taking place at Quay Arts from 8pm on Wednesday 21st May, SHHH is an evening of superb music from around Europe that is best enjoyed by listening in silence.

KATARZIA
Picking up a guitar for the first time two years ago, this young and charming Slovak singer/songwriter has rapidly matured to be a true star in the east.

Singing in Slovak she wrings out all of the delectable music from this most beautiful of languages like an instrument in itself.

Her debut album ‘Generation Y’ was released last year and was hailed as one of the strongest debuts this decade. From a family of performers she has a stage presence that will win you over completely.

LONGITAL
Also from Slovakia, this energetic and off-kilter indie duo have been performing all over the world for the past 13 years.

Daniel Salontay employs a unique and rhythmic guitar style to accompany Shina’s charismatic voice and her bowed fretless bass.

Their sophisticated creations can be found on nine albums and in many films and stage-plays.

STICKMAN
Hailing from the Island, 70s folk band ‘Shide And Acorn’ are frequently cited as one of the biggest influences on the modern folk/hipster scene.

Founder members husband and wife duo Steve and Joy Jolliffe have continued to write intelligent and well-crafted songs, but it is only in recent years that they have once more returned to the stage for the occasional performance.

Doors open at 7pm, music starts at 8pm, Tickets £6 each.
