A grant from England Athletics, with support from Isle of Wight Athletics Club and Ryde Harriers, has resulted in the tracks in Sandown looking almost as good as they did after the 2011 Island Games
The request for the name of the Fairway Athletics Centre to change, in honour of the late Ray Scovell, has been approved by the Isle of Wight council's cabinet members

The team are crowdfunding to help with costs of travelling to Gotland next year to take part in the NatWest Island Games. There's still time to make a donation however small or large.
It will cost in the region of £1,000 per person to attend the Games, where competitors will have the opportunity to compete on the international stage.
