A consultation on whether to include the Isle of Wight as part of the Marine and Coastal Path Act 2009 has been launched. Residents urged to take part to help attract funding and special status to the coast path.
Take part in round the Island walk in October to help raise money for a sensory room and Autism Awareness course for preschool staff at Godshill Primary School.

Best of luck to the ten confirmed walkers who intend to walk 77 miles around the Island in just 24 hours. They set off at 4am Saturday morning and hope to raise money for Ventnor-based charity St Catherine's.

The Ramblers' Association is urging members of the public to sign a petition to help ensure the Isle of Wight is included in the National Coastal Trail and be eligible for funding to improve the coastal route.
