Walk the Wight 2026: Sign up by Thursday to receive your pack in the post

Mountbatten Isle of Wight’s Walk the Wight 2026, sponsored by Isle of Wight Festival and Red Funnel, takes place on Sunday 10th May 2026 and there are only days left to sign up, if you want your walker pack posted to you.

To guarantee the postal delivery of your walker number, taking part guide and T-shirt, plus any extra merchandise (including Walk the Wight caps (£15), Mountbatten socks (£7.50), reusable water bottles (£12) and dog bandanas (£5), you must register by 12pm on Thursday 16th April.

Organiser Ashleigh Gibbs, from Mountbatten Isle of Wight, said,

“Whether you walk on your own or with kids, grandparents or friends, Walk the Wight is a great excuse to get out, get moving and enjoy the beautiful Isle of Wight together.

She added,

“Being part of the atmosphere on the day is incredible. It really captures the community spirit, while raising vital funds for our local hospice.”

How to sign up to Walk the Wight 2026
Are you yet to sign up for this iconic annual event, which sees thousands of people walking together to raise funds for Mountbatten Isle of Wight’s expert 24/7 care?

Something for everyone means you can choose from a range of routes: The full 26 miles; one of the halves (around 13 miles); the accessible eight-mile Flat Walk; or the Schools Walk, which covers four miles of the main route. Every option boasts stunning views, and the chance to see the Island in all its glory!

Registration cost £15 per person, which includes:

  • Entry to the event and your chosen route
  • Your event pack, including walker number and event guide
  • Commemorative medal (awarded at the finish line)
  • Entertainment along the route
  • Free bus travel on the day
  • A special invite to our top fundraiser evening, for those who raise over £500

We’re delighted to welcome a huge number of food traders along the Walk the Wight route, so you won’t go hungry if you forget the sandwiches.

If you sign up after Thursday, 16 April at 6pm, you will still be able to take part but you will need to collect your walker pack from Mountbatten Collection HQ (on Saturday, 9 May), or from your chosen start line on the day of the event, where there can be long queues.
