Anyone who came along to VentnorBlog Presents … last weekend will have been thoroughly impressed with our choice of venue, The Bonchurch Manor Hotel.
Some of those who visited the exhibition might not have realised that the space which housed Julian Winslow’s fantastic photography, is normally home to The Tiffin Room.
Of course, there are many of you (us included) who will have already sampled the wonderful Southern Indian delights that hotel owner and head chef Shuba, creates.
For those of you who haven’t sampled the delicate and unique taste of Southern Indian cuisine don’t just take our word for it, here’s what Clive Aslet, in The Times had to say about it.
If the Michelin Guide cared more about proper food, rather than the degree of starch on the napkins, it would give Bonchurch a star.
This year there are some changes at the Tiffin Room. In 2008, it will open by prior arrangement only for groups of ten or more.
How cool is that? You get your own private dining room, exquisite food and a choice of extremely fine wines.
If you can’t muster up nine friends to join you for the night, don’t worry, there are some dates when you can enjoy the Tiffin Room without dragging all your mates along.
The first is this weekend on Mothering Sunday March 2nd – why not treat your Mum to a wonderful lunch in beautiful surroundings? All you have to do if turn up and enjoy (and don’t forget your cheque book).
The same applies the following dates which are all evening openings:
Friday 7th
Saturday 8th of March
Saturday 15th March
Saturday 22nd March and
Tuesday 1st April.
We think the private dining sounds like a great offer and will definitely be trying it out ourselves sometime soon.
