Three Points Needed To Clinch The Title

The Wightlink Raiders remain hot favourites to lift the ENL title and could clinch the league trophy in the next week.

They need three points (a win and a draw) from their last two home games to be crowned league champions and take on bottom club Swindon Wildcats tomorrow night (Saturday).

Swindon were promoted from Division 2 of the ENL last season but have largely struggled this year although they have shown at times that they have the potential to cause an upset. Next weekend is likely to provide a sterner test for the Raiders with the visit of the Cardiff ENL Devils who on paper have one of the strongest squads in the league.

Jeremy Cornish’s team will be at full strength for tonight’s visit of Swindon and the game will also see the newly named Isle of Wight Junior Raiders receive their new shirts.

Face off at Ryde Arena is at the usual time of 6pm.
