The table below is ordered in the precept charge that each Band-D house will pay in each of the 33 Parishes and Towns cross the Isle of Wight.
The precept is set by the town or parish council and is designed to be spent on services of the local area.
Being high up the list could either be due to a small number of households in the area or the precept being unusually high.

You’ll see that there’s quite a contrast between the top and the bottom of the table.
The households of Brading (£67.51) pay over five times the amount of money than those in Niton & Whitwell (£12.38).
Average precept across all 33 areas is £29.62.
