Key members of emergency service
All those who received the Queens Jubilee Medal have worked voluntarily and are key members for this front line emergency service. They’ve helped to save many lives at sea and are very proud to be recognised for the work they do.

It was very moving to have so many people there from the town councils, Isle of Wight Council and our family members who showed their appreciation for the work we do which made this a special day for all of us.

The Lord-Lieutenant gave a wonderful speech and praised them for their valuable work and continued support for the Sandown & Shanklin Independent Lifeboat.

Those who received the medals were Mark Birch; Richard Chantler; David Williams; Stephen Woodhams; Darren Sands; Barry Chantler; Ian Hunt and Ron Teasdale.
