Readers may remember we highlighted a Bohemian Beard Competition that Dimbola Museum and Galleries were running back in February (and quickly picked up by the BBC).
During April, eight of the shortlisted nominees had their portrait made with Julia Margaret Cameron’s technique of Wet Plate Collodion by Karen Grainger, the Trust’s Resident Historic Processes Photographer and Curator of the Permanent Collection.
This is a hand-made process using a liquid negative formula poured onto a glass plate for each exposure.
Cast Your Vote
Now members of the public can vote on their favourite and the winning bearded entry can received a cash prize of £250.
You can vote through Facebook or go into Dimbola to vote in person, but please do so by 5pm on 30th May.
