A ventnor wall lizard

Watch: Ventnor Wall Lizards like you’ve never seen them before

Last updated:

Isle of Wight short film maker, Paul Knights, has been busy with his camera again, this time getting up close to the much-loved Ventnor Wall Lizard.

All it took was one year (2020/21) of Island Roads not using weed killer that contains Glyphosate for these little beauties to expand their colonies in the seaside town on the south coast of the Isle of Wight.

Walk along many streets around Ventnor and you’ll spot more of these delicate green creatures darting around, that’s when they’re not soaking up the extra hours of sun rays.

Great POV shots
Paul’s latest short film follows the antics of Ventnor Wall Lizards in his garden, and at some points he manages to give you an idea of what the view might be in the other direction – from the lizard’s point of view.

Another great short film for the Paul Knights’ archive.
