Isle of Wight band Wet Leg, who played to thousands of adoring Glastonbury festival-goers on Friday afternoon, have received yet another accolade.
Not only are they featured in the sting for the BBC’s coverage of Glastonbury, but as part of the BBC’s post-festival roundup of the iconic music festival Wet Leg take the number one slot in the BBC’s “11 weird and wonderful moments“.
Longest and loudest scream
They achieved the accolade after being joined by the thousands of audience members in a monumental scream lasting 23 seconds during the track Ur Mum. You can watch by clicking on the play button in the tweet below.
Despite the band’s phenomenal rise to fame, they still appear genuinely humbled by the adoration from their fans, and it’s great to see them continue to have fun on stage. If they continue on the same trajectory, it won’t be long before they are performing on the main stage at Glastonbury.
Watch the entire set
The band’s track Wet Dream has also been singled out by the BBC as a Must Watch Track.
