Today Isle of Wight council finance boss David Burbage, Chief exec Steve Beynon, Cllr David Pugh and Cllr George Brown are up in London chatting to Bob Neill MP, the Under Secretary in the Department for Community & Local Government.
They’re following up on the letter that went to the Government last week asking for more money for the council.
All well and good, you might say, but strangely David Pugh only told the Island’s MP, Andrew Turner, about the visit yesterday, not giving him enough time to change his already-made arrangements, VB hears.
