An Assessment of the Economic & Environmental Impacts of the 2008 Isle of Wight Music Festival

We had intended, following our earlier article, Understanding How The Isle of Wight Festival Brings £10m/Year To The Island Economy, to spend time absorbing the results of the 2008 study into the economic benefits of the Isle of Wight Festival and reporting back tomorrow.

We’ll be taking a more detailed look tomorrow at the data, but in the meantime those of you keen to see the outcome of the 2008 study can read the document in full, embedded below.

The study was carried out by by the Sport Industry Research Centre (SIRC) at Sheffield Hallam University and the ESRC Centre for Business Relationships, Accountability, Sustainability and Society (BRASS) at Cardiff University on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council in June 2008.
