Booster shots: The way to drive to Riverside Centre has changed

The way that you drive to get your Covid / booster shots at the Riverside Centre in Newport has changed.

Previously you had to drive via Seaclose Park, driving past the Premier Inn and along the road through the old warehouse/shed units.

Those trying that route now will find a closed and locked gate blocking their way.

Now simpler
The new route is far simpler, but the change in the required approach doesn’t appear to have been publicised, hence News OnTheWight running this article (so share this article with others if you have friends and family going for boosters soon).

The way you need to go now is via Sea Street (by Quay Arts), turning into The Quay, over the metal bridge and under the flyover.

Parking also changed
As before, there’s no parking behind the Riverside Centre, but parking on the quayside, opposite the entrance to the vaccination centre has been made available.
