Powerboat racing past Ventnor

Captivating Isle of Wight tour in Paul Knights’ latest film: Bikes, Boats and Goats

Last updated:

It was only a couple of weeks ago we featured the latest short film by Paul Knights (watching the Ventnor Wall Lizard), but he’s been busy filming and editing again and has shared yet another beauty.

If you have difficulty getting around the Isle of Wight you’ll love this seven minute video in which Paul takes you on a tour.

A tour of the south coast
The footage is broken up into three parts, the beginning shows him and a mate motorcycling around the Island, through the beautiful Undercliff, along the Military Road to Compton Bay, Freshwater Bay, Colwell Bay.

The excitement of power boats
Then back to Ventnor, where Paul captured the Round Island Powerboat Race, 25 powerboats storming through the waters, captured superbly on camera.

Goats at golden hour
After the excitement of the powerboats it’s up to Ventnor Downs to wonder at the beautiful afternoon light on the landscape (and goats).
