The Bembridge Lifeboat Operations Manager and the station’s long-serving volunteer Lifeboat Press Officer and Deputy Launching Authority, have swapped roles.
Despite the strong current and water temperature (7.5 celsius - or 45.5 Fahrenheit), most of the brave swimmers finished the course and raised nearly £600 for the RNLI.

As well as praise for the efficient use of the Inshore Lifeboat centre in East Cowes, it was revealed that the Island raised £329,515 net for the RNLI in the last year.
