After tweeting the news out a short while ago, explaining that two appliances were in attendance with on aerial appliance, readers have got in touch with updates.
Thanks to Ben Curel for very quickly sending through the photo (below right) from across the road and to Sue Plummer who told us that the traffic is heavily backlogged with nothing being able to get down Union Street at the moment.
Under new ownership?
Commenters on Facebook have sent their best wishes for all involved, with Chris Sanders suggesting that the ownership has recently changed.
Trude Stasyszyn said, “was driving past when the fire engine turned up. looked like one lady was hurt or just shaken.” Fire control tell us that they had made a request for an ambulance for a staff member.
We hope that everyone has managed to escape unharmed and the damage wasn’t too bad.
